Faith in God Paves Our Way into the
                           Future!
Only God is in the position to guide us and lead us into eternity because only He knows the end from the beginning!

Faith in God Paves Our Way into the Future!

It is important to remember that our past serves as a testimony from where God has delivered us. It represents in a spiritual sense, “The Egypt,” of our lives. A time when we were enslaved to sin, worldliness and evil. A past that drained the very life out of us. Nothing we did or tried was able to free us from the clutches of sinful nature and the dominion of Satan's rule over our lives. That is, until Jesus came our way! By dying on the Cross of Calvary, and shedding His blood for the remission of our sins, He redeemed us from the bondage of slavery to sinful nature and set us free once and for all. Now it is our choice to live in His freedom or to live as we please in the domain of worldliness. God has done all that He could do to cause us to be free from sin and unrighteousness – now it is up to us to live in obedience to God and His will or in rebellion to it!

Psalm 37:23 “The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.”

?Remember that God has no intention of changing our past because it serves no good purpose. He will forgive our past, remember our sins no more, and not hold our past against us since we have been washed in the blood of His Son Jesus Christ,?but He will never change our past. Our past is a record of who we were. Without it there would be no reason to seek help and rescue from God. It is the very circumstances and trials of life that lead us to God in most cases. Why would God want to remove our past? It is a monument that has been erected in the past of our lives and it is only when we realize how far we have come from that point, does our lives now make sense to us. If our past is removed, it does not give our present any true credentials and that leaves our future in jeopardy!

God always bring us from a place [where ever we have been and whatever we have done] and He takes us out of that 'muck and mire' of the world and He lifts us up to sit with Him in heavenly places. Simply put, God changes our situations for the better. Sometimes we don’t fully appreciate what God is doing and we don’t understand where He is taking us to, but if we put our faith in Him and take Him at His Word, He will bring us to the place that He has ordained for us. Remember that God knows the end from the beginning. He knows exactly how our story is going to end – just as He knows where we came from! We may be embarrassed by our past. It may bring to memory some rather awkward moments in time, sinful acts, devious thoughts, actions that speak rather badly of us, but that is who we were and what God has rescued us from. Don’t be embarrassed about your past – it is when we remember the past and how God brought us out of that place that we can truly see the power and the miraculous workings of God in our lives.

Many Christians misquote the text found in Hebrews 8:12, where God says: “For I will forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more.” One of the attributes of God is that He is “Omni-scient.” This simply means that God knows everything! But in the text – Hebrews 8:12 God says that He will remember our sins no more. This is what we need to understand from this text. God is not going to change our past but He chooses not to remember our sins. That reveals how great, gracious and merciful our God is! He refuses to hold anything against us, even those things that we actually committed in times past. Trusting God is placing our hope, faith and reliance on Him, thus making this declaration that we acknowledge that His will and purpose for our lives, is better, greater, more productive and successful for us, than our will for ourselves. Scripture tells us that, “The just shall live by faith…” Those that have been justified through the blood of Jesus Christ will live by placing their hope and trust in God!
