Faith or Fear?
Are we acting to Guide & Direct our people?

Faith or Fear?

We all have started up with our career somewhere, we all have been into our journeys and adapted the leadership qualities from some or the other individual. When we were at our learning stage we all must have had leaders who were either giving up on us or those that were trying to give their best so one day we could have the best as well.

In my journey of being into Talent Management I have had all vox of leaders around me and the trait of observation has helped me to become someone today that when my people look at me they have the vision of faith and not fear. During our course of life we tend to misunderstand the power of Leadership, we as humans become so authoritative that it might turn out to be against us. However, we fail to understand that the powers are given to us so that we can manage things off in a functional manner and not to treat people as robots.

We fail to understand that when we can not function as robots (work according to what has been instructed) how it is possible that someone else can do that. My only question is if you can not take the disrespect, if you can not take the orders, when you want to perform as an individual, if you can not deal with toxicity why to give it to others?

A true leader never gives up on their team members no matter how much time they take to adapt things and how much time they need to learn. Imagine our teachers would have given up on us when we were not doing good in terms of our grades but did we end up being NOTHING? No right, today we all as individuals have reached up to the heights that were beyond our reach and this is not the end we are going to achieve more each passing day. I am glad that in my entire career till now I have been blessed with leaders that never gave up on me. They have sat with me, understood my concerns (professional/personal), roped me out of my comfort zone and made me believe in myself. Cheers to all my wonderful bosses and managers I have had in the past and in my present.

You turn out to be a leader/manager when you are a people's person, where I-ME-MYSELF does not work but YOU-WE-US works. When you train people that are low in pace and do not give up on them. When you know the right language to reach out to your people so they understand and perform well. The only skill required is to take people together and work or else if you will not have a team whom would you LEAD?

Be the right set of example that people look up to you and believe in themselves. We all need to understand that we deal with humans, their minds, their souls and their future hence we need to know the language of dealing with them as well. That's when you will be seen with faith & not fear.
