Faith That Crushes Arguments

Imagine a man named Job, a man who suffered unimaginable trials and tribulations. In the midst of his agony, he found himself surrounded by all sorts of arguments and discourse, tempting him to lose sight of God’s promises.?

But Job, he possessed something extraordinary — real faith. He could see the fiery darts hurled at him, but instead of cowering in fear, he boldly raised the shield of faith to meet them head-on. Job didn’t retreat and hide under that shield; he faced his challenges with unwavering conviction.

Job, in response to the arguments of his friends, had this to say: “So how dare you give me empty comfort? For your answers remain nothing but falsehood!” (Job 21:34).?

Job wasn’t swayed by the empty rhetoric around him. He possessed the kind of faith that discerns the hollowness of the world’s offerings and steadfastly ignores them.

In the face of today’s difficult times, we, too, need this Bible faith. DL Moody, a man of great faith, understood this well. He fervently prayed for a hundred of his friends to come to know Christ. And you know what? During his lifetime, 96 of them did surrender their lives to Jesus. And even at his funeral, the final four found salvation. DL Moody’s eyes were fixed on Christ, and his faith burned bright, fueled by the Word.

So, in the midst of the challenges and arguments that surround us today, let’s be like Job and DL Moody. Keeping our minds focused on God’s promises, shielding ourselves with unwavering faith.?

Don’t be deceived by the empty comfort the world offers; it’s nothing but falsehood. Instead, let your fire of faith feed on the fuel of the Word. With real faith, we can overcome any trial and emerge stronger than before.
