FairPlay Employer Finalists Announced

FairPlay Employer Finalists Announced

Four organisations, who are leading the way when it comes to progress on inclusive working practices, have been selected as finalists in this year’s Chwarae Teg Womenspire Awards.

Shortlisted in the FairPlay Employer category – Gwent Police, Charles River Laboratories, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and The Open University in Wales – are all a part of Chwarae Teg’s programme of the same name.

This FairPlay Employer Award celebrates those making strides on their journeys to gender equality and who have embedded cultures where differences are welcomed.

All four organisations are changing how they operate by using new innovative practices, which allow women to grow and thrive, considering their own organizational needs regarding equality, diversity, and inclusion. By working differently, they are benefiting from improved productivity, happy staff, and becoming employers of choice.

Stephanie Griffiths, said: "Our FairPlay Employer programme benchmarks organisations against others in their industry and region, determines key areas of success and those needing development. Our finalists have all shown their commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive working practices and we are thrilled to celebrate their achievements at the Chwarae Teg Womenspire Awards in September.”

Award sponsors Hodge said "The heart of our business is about creating an environment where everyone can thrive and achieve their true potential. Sponsoring at Womenspire reflects our commitment to creating the best working environment and enables us to champion the role women play in delivering business success."
