Guaranteeing office equipment buyers at schools, charities and businesses, a fair deal on their contract and recommending suppliers you can trust.
Fair Contract Associates founder Chas Jordan (F.Inst.Pa) has been awarded a Fellowship of the Institute of Paralegals.
‘Fellowship’ is the highest level of membership awarded by this highly respected organisation and reflects Chas’s standing as a role model for the profession plus his total commitment to the pursuit of fairness in his specialist area of dispute resolution and contract management.
A ‘Fellow’ status of the IoP recognises a select group of expert legal practitioners who have gained the highest level of knowledge and experience at least equivalent to a Level 6 (degree level).
During the assessment process, candidates have to demonstrate at least four years practice in legal services. Having set up Fair Contract Associates Limited in 2008 Chas was easily able to demonstrate a raft of contract disputes he had been involved in and where unfair practice had been successfully challenged.
The IoP assists the paralegal profession with its development and ensures members abide by strict competency standards and guidance on professional conduct.
Chas said: I have often been called upon to provide expert witness testimony on contract issues and disputes for the courts, The recognition from the IoP enables court officials to immediately recognise commitment to the IoP code of conduct. For me personally, this award is a great addition to the Mediation and dispute resolution services I provide for clients. While I will always attempt a negotiated settlement before any litigation, what this award means for my clients is that I can personally represent them in court proceedings, more easily help in recovery of debts, and resolving contractual disputes, so now if you have a business dispute you can’t settle or are owed a debt which you can’t recover, there really is only one number you need to call and that’s 0208 695 7301.”??
