“Never be afraid of failures. Rather celebrate your failure learn from it and move ahead”.
Those were the words which my father told me when I failed to secure a good rank in my engineering entrance examination. That day it sounded like a philosophical cliché, which can only be appreciated but can never be put into practice. But over the years I have realized the importance of those words. In my personal and professional endeavors, I have failed again and again, but self realization of that so called small cliché has given me the strength to rise like phoenix every time I fall. And this I believe is the most significant accomplishment anyone can inculcate in his/ her life journey.
In Mahabharata, the Pandavas had to face one failure after the other, but that only made them stronger mentally, physically and intellectually. It is through the journey of failure that they gained the knowledge of divya astras, forged powerful alliances, and learned the art of war.
Failure is that rare gem of an opportunity which allows a person to introspect and look within himself in the search for what went wrong. During that search, one more often than not, stumbles across reserves of talent that were waiting to be unearthed and discovers one's true potential. It is difficult to digest failure, agreed, but even more difficult is to learn lessons from it and “try” harder the next time without losing hope and focus. And that through failures one can find the path to success.
Although there have been number of tangible accomplishments over the period of time which have given me a sense of importance, but the self realisation of celebrating failure is something which I will always cherish. Because celebrating “failure” also means celebrating the fact that one has tried his/ her best” and resolve to try ever harder the next time.
After all,”The ones who never fail are those who never try”.
