When I get to dig deep with my clients to understand why they're not creating the success they feel they should be, we usually hit on a number of negative self-beliefs and mindset blocks.
We all have them.
Each and every one of us.
But one of the most common, and one that affects so many of us who have already had success, is the fear of failure.
You see, so many of us attach our self-worth to the success of our business. And this creates this fear of failure. Because failure means you feel shit about yourself. That not only is your business a failure, but so are you.
It makes this fear feel HUGE.
This big, self-worth eating monster that will affect every area of your life, when in fact, your self-worth has nothing to do with the success of your business. Your business is separate from you. Completely separate.
I'm just going to repeat that, as it's important.
YOUR SELF-WORTH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SUCCESS OF YOUR BUSINESS.
Has that sunk in?
Great.
So with that out of the way, let's talk about failure being essential to the success of your business.
Yup, will repeat that bad boy too.
FAILURE IS ESSENTIAL TO THE SUCCESS OF YOUR BUSINESS.
You need to fail in order to learn what works.
When you fail, you dig deep and you get to uncover things about your customers, your offers, your messaging that you would never get a glimpse of if you hadn't have failed in the first place.
It allows you to move on and create something people really want.
It gives you innovative ideas you may never have had.
It helps you to get to that KILLER idea that could become the thing that catapults your business.
So, if we agree that your self-worth has nothing to do with whether you fail or not, and we agree that failure is an essential part of business growth, there's nothing to be afraid of any more. Is there?
