Success is beautiful but you don't get to learn a great deal from it. Deceitful as it may be, one do have to take credit for it. But the truth is, we don't get to acquire much wisdom from it. And sometimes it induces certain kind of detestable arrogance. To me, success is just the momental absence of failure. It is noteworthy that it is not the absence of failure that creates true success but your response to failure, and being consistently far away from failure. And not to paint a gory image of success, it's good to celebrate success but when that seeps into one's mind and begins to cloud one's mindset, it's then the real trouble begins and the once celebrated entity can in time become a colossal tragedy.
I have always been terrified of failure. I guess that's one driving factor for me. Despite the utmost contempt and disdain for failure, sometimes it's exactly what one needs to become very successful. Failure is never catastrophic even though one's response to failure is a key factor to attaining true success, and can ultimately fuel or even create a debasing and ignominious ending, if improperly managed. The way we react to it is crucial to achieving true success. A favorite approach to it is "Pragmatism". The recognition and believe that there is always a solution lying somewhere to solve any problem. The mindset that if one approach doesn't work out, the other might just do.
It's in failure that you know the true strength of your relationships. It tests your ability to stand still in face of adversity, and as you overcome each trial, the better you become and this creates a sense of confidence to fight the next challenge. There is this saying that "things don't get easier, you get stronger ". You have got to fight through the bad days to earn the good ones. O yes, you made a mess of things, you failed on many occasions: that's okay. It's neither the end of the world nor your life. All you have to to do is to get in the right frame of mind and conceive the believe that you can do better, and you would get better.
But getting better at things requires a lot of hardwork. Work hard with the passion, determination and zeal to succeed and in the end, the sky can be your starting point. It has been established that you become good at anything you practice for more than 5000 hours. So, do create an avenue or platform to practice and learn for that long. Shake off the doubts. The real WAR is in your head. The battle-ground is in your mind. That's where the enemy fights. It's not what they say about you that matters. It's what you say and believe about yourself that threatens your destiny. It's the only thing that can totally defeat you.
The truth most people don't know is that everyone is going through a cycle. You don't have to be ashamed of yours. There is something in the inside that's stronger than you know. You have to harness that internal power to make things work out. Claim it!! Use it. And believe that Now is the time for vindication, for restoration, for better beginnings and to accomplish dreams. There is never a perfect time to journey through that transformative process. The evolution is not going to happen over night. In most cases, you would have to discard some habitual acts that can mitigate against achieving your dreams. Nothing happens without change. Sequentially attaining goals broken into bits would eventually lead to the achievement of dreams.
A newly transformed life comes from a new mind, and a positive way of looking at things. Your perception has a great effect on how things is going to work out for you. A hundred years ago, there were opportunities and challenges and a hundred years after today, there would still be challenges and opportunities. It all depends on how you perceive things and your willingness to take decisive actions and steps towards fulfilling your desire.
A very successful man once said that "every success he has ever achieved was from taking the right decision, and the ability to make those right decision was borne-out from cumulative experiences, which he explained entails his wrong decisions and failures". Life is not just a checklist of acquisition, desire and fulfilment. The vicissitudes of life demands that we fail from time to time to get better.
So, it's okay to fail. But fail big, fail better and most importantly, learn from each failure.
