Hola!!
It's almost Christmas timeeeeee and I am so excited!!!
As we await the wonderous season, I hope you embrace the Christmas spirit, looking expectantly towards a miracle or gift (like a child, you know).
Please reward yourself. You don't necessarily need to spend money. It can be good sleep or simply taking a trip down memory lane to a very happy memory you have not pondered on in a while.
It's a season of joy, cheer and hope. Allow yourself feel the "JCH."
Failure is such an ill regarded term in our world. Usually employed to connote anything negative, contrary to success, it is now somewhat of dreaded concept.
The truth is deep down, no one wants to fail. However, failure is indeed necessary. Let's explore a few quotes to support the aforementioned:
? "The secret of life is to fall seven times and to get up eight times." — Paulo Coelho
? "It is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default." ― J.K. Rowling
? "I can accept failure. Everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying." ― Michael Jordan
? "When we give ourselves permission to fail, we, at the same time, give ourselves permission to excel." ― Eloise Ristad
? "Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fail." ― Confucius
? "The one who falls and gets up is stronger than the one who never tried. Do not fear failure but rather fear not trying. ― Roy T. Bennett
? "Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly." ― Robert F. Kennedy
The quotes above were said by very successful people. Those are definitive statements borne out of their learnings and experiences. The central ideology of this newsletter has worked for them and it will work for you too.
"To fail forward means that you have chosen to respect each failure for the lessons it teaches you, and to apply those lessons to future efforts, even if those efforts may also fail."
At the very least, you've learnt that way doesn't work or something(s) can be improved on.
Don't let the fear of failure limit or cripple you. Like Paulo said, If you fall seven times, get up eight times!!! That is the secret to winning at life.
The use of the image above was intentional. As soon as I saw it, it reminded me of something interesting about children. When learning how to walk, children fall. multiple times! Yet, they always stand up and try again.
That is profound.
John Maxwell has a book titled "Failing Forward."
Yes, that's where the topic is from. It is life changing. Please get it and eat it!
Most of the pressures we face come from us - our thoughts and ideologies. This is a good place to begin renewing your mind.
"Everything you succeed at was once unknown to you. Failure is not the enemy, your paradigm is." - Martha Akintelu
You will win, I am here always, cheering you on!
Leaving you with "JCH" - JOY, CHEER & HOPE!!!
Martha A.
