Our generation (millennials) are a group of outgoing, failing forward type of individuals. We are not afraid of trying. In order to grow as a person, company or nation, we need a group of individuals who fail forward. With that being said, have you looked at what you want to do? If so, are you willing to work toward that goal?
Many people believe that failing is the end. We believe there is no end. Once you are able to learn, adapt and research your failed attempt, there is opportunity for you to grow and develop.
One of our current fails was an Indiegogo campaign version of social media. Our goal was to create, represent and maintain an innovative app that allowed people to have make money while living their day to day life.
Our goal was to raise $10,000 but we raised a total of around $890. With that being said, we raised about 9% of our total but in the grand scheme of everything and for our company, that was a win! We didn’t get where we needed but we found resources, new backers (supporters) and a new found confidence, that if we were to strategically plan our concepts, we would succeed exponentially.
I learned a lot about running Indiegogo campaigns. I learned how important it is to stick to your word, to give people products that you said you would make and to really keep your word. It makes you look horrible if you promise something, people expect it and you can’t follow through!
When we run another campaign, we plan on making it better than what we did the 1st time. If this is the case, best believe that we have an opportunity to change the game in a very special way.
There is a titanic difference between failing and quitting. Those that quit give up. Those that fail have an opportunity to get better and prevail. Quitters never prosper and you only lose when you give up.
There has been adversity in all our lives, there has been times where it got tough and I was told to quit or give up. Sometimes people will look at you like “give it up,” but you have to have hope, this will get you further than talent. This will get you further than most will think, with hope comes an extra gift from God. We may or may not know what it is, but it’s in your favor and when you least expect it, God will reveal it to you in a way that makes you smile.
Failure is just another way of life saying, “try a new way, almost there.” We live in a positive universe and what you think, you will receive, maybe not today but one day you will receive what you believe to be rightfully yours. So be open and ask for what you truly want. Be ready to receive and know
that it’s yours before it happens. The world is your oyster and if you fail forward, it’s all possible, it’s all yours and nobody can stop what God has for you.
Researching new and old companies makes you see what worked and what doesn’t. Starbucks CEO Schultz didn’t have the easiest plan but it surely worked in his favor. If you look at what was done to design his company, you would be astounded at how a trip to Italy and having espresso changed his life in a positive manner. After partnering with Jerry Baldwin and Gordon who were two great friends of Schultz, they found a common bond between great coffee brews and business. In the early 1980’s and 1990’s Starbucks stores exploded with interest and the process was in effect.
Schultz stories of trying to revise $1,000,000 in a time of desperation are told scarcely, his excellence and success is talked about frequently but what he went through to get where he is at now, is another story. People only see what you allow them to see. When you are doing what you are supposed to, there is a possibility in the air. Failure will come, depending on the level of difficulty you are pursuing. The harder it is, the more angles you will have to pursue. This will get you closer to the promise land. This will help you develop an opportunity but failing is okay and in most cases, it’s essential to the growth of your company, your life
and your happiness. “The master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried.” Fail forward, learn from your mistakes, keep growing, learn, adapt and scale fast.?
