Dear Fellow Success Seekers,
As I have disclosed in one of my blogs, how I started to write these blogs on LinkedIn. I have to decide the blog title instantly based on the quote written on the image which becomes quite challenging but same time it helps me to stretch beyond my comfort zone. Not only that, at times it's even more difficult to write details about that randomly chosen title, but no matter what happen I decided to write anyway and I do write.
“When you take risks you learn that there will be times when you succeed and there will be times when you fail, and both are equally important.” - Ellen DeGeneres
As this blog is all about the failures, which is one of the most common kind of fear we have and many great ideas never see the light of execution because the fear of failure. Let me share one of my favourite quote from Sir Winston Churchill, which goes like this.
“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” - Winston Churchill
The best part about failures is that you always learn a lesson and warning not to repeat the same mistake again and secondly you get incredible confidence from it. It makes me depressed looking at the new generation of youth who are in their mid-twenties and full of fear to take any risks, because of fear of failure and they lose so many opportunities to succeed. As we all know that the biggest risk in life is not to take the risk, and especially for the youth, there is no risk because they have plenty of time and they can afford to fail again and again and each failure will add the extra confidence and, later on, they will become fail proof performers and risk takers
Fail Early
Failing early should be the mantra to our youth especially, as they have plenty of time to recover back. In fact, it's not only for youth rather for anybody, as early is a relative term, for a 90-year old person 70 is early and for 70 years old 50 so it's all relative. The key to living your passion is by taking the action without fearing of the failures, early you act less risk you have. No risk and no gain.
" A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for." - William Shedd
Fail Often
More frequent you fail, better and bigger confidence you will have and you will become more comfortable and confidence to take the risk, which will create more chances for the success. More failures mean you are trying to stretch yourself beyond your comfort zone and in the process you are really growing and soon you will become an expert in that particular chosen field and success is bound to come.
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” - Thomas A. Edison
Fail Big
It's not only the stage and frequency of the failures, rather equally important is how big failure is, bigger is the failure, bigger success will occur. For instance, you did some investment with very low investment say $1000 and you lost that investment 100% and see another scenario where you invested 1 Million dollar and lost 100% , losing 1 million dollars comparing just one thousand dollars will have very different impact and you will learn valuable lessons and you will remember them as well as you will be really serious not to commit the same mistake rather you will be extra careful. And that extra precautions and extra awareness will increase the chances of future successes. I would like to share a famous quote from my virtual coach Les Brown which goes like this.
" Most people fail in life not because they aim too high and miss, but because they aim too low and hit." - Les Brown
So make a habit to fail early ( let your young kids learn that, as they can afford to fail early!), fail often and fail real BIG and you are bound to become a successful person in your chosen field of interest.
PS: In the quoted image, my youngest son Nicket trying to fail as early as just 5 months old. He often does, almost every alternate day and this piano is quite BIG for him to fail but he does it anyway. Little fun part apart, actually I'm trying to give life to most of the pictures I clicked and same time trying to add some motivation to fellow online acquaintances like yours, which helps me to maintain self-motivation.
I often say that "no matter what you do today in your life (or business), you can't afford not to be online". But many of you might have a question, where to start? Just click the orange button below and download 10 steps guide for free.
