1 Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth:

Fail means end. ?Lights fail. Electricity fails. Muscles fail. Nothing negative about failing. The only time we negatively fail is when we quit. ? ?Literally this verse says ‘love never ends’. ?

God is love ‘1 John 4:8’. ? God is eternal. ?Love never ends.

I came to Nicaragua, newly saved, thinking that if I just loved God and others enough everything would just work out. ? Love never fails right? ?That isn’t quite how it works.

I loved others but I also trusted in man. ?Love and trust don’t go hand in hand. ?I trusted my great cpa accountant of 15 years, who secretly fell off the wagon and let me down the last 3 filings. ? I trusted my lawyer (who was a full time uber driver, part time lawyer). ?I trusted Nicaragua and the government, but they closed us and 8000+ ngo’s down here accusing all of us of money laundering. ? I trusted my boards. ? I trusted myself. All of us failed miserably.

We are failers, but not failures til we quit. I still love everyone, but am learning a lot about failure (the end). The Bible is clear. ? We can love and trust only the Lord. ? Love man, but trust only in God. ? ? Right now it’s just me and Winnie, a 2nd on our home and a few loyal friends keeping this ministry going and preparing our new ngo etc. ?(a few monrhs to go).

School and feeding is going on as usual, just doing it alone with the help of God and a very few number of loyal brothers and sisters. ? Trust in man will fail us, always, as in disappoint us. ? They let us down. Fail us. ?But God’s love never!!! ? I’ve had some unexpected expenses this month as well as a delayed surgery and still can make payroll and new lawyer / new accountant fees. ? Amazing!!! ? God’s love never fails!!

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is in the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of the drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit" (Jeremiah 17:7-8 RSV).

What happened to everyone else? ? They’re still my friends. ?But failures. They quit. Quitters never win and winners never quit. I still love them, just don`t trust `em. I still use my lawyer as my uber driver, so I trust him to pick me up, but never again for legal matters. I still joyfully embrace the Nicaraguan government and their ever changing rules (15+ times in the past 7 years). Love love love all of it. ? God’s love never stops (fails). ?

We fail only when we quit. ? Most missionaries quit but I don’t know how to. I`d love to sometimes but I can`t. ? But I have learned to not trust man. ? The most untrustworthy people I have ever known have told me I have trust issues. ? Yup! ? They are absolutely right and the same people prove me right. They continue to prove it to this day. ? They say ‘trust us’ almost mockingly. ? Do not trust people. ? Trust God!!!! ? ?Only His love (true love) doesn’t fail.

Jeremiah 17:5 ?Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man.

Man is temporary ? He is not God ? His love will disappear ? He will let you down.We should still love them. ? The key is just don’t depend on them ? Expect nothing from them, then you won’t be dissapointed.

Pray for us ? We’re going through a tough learning curve down here.

God is continually being glorified ? Bible studies continue. ?Kids are being fed. People are getting miraculously saved and healed. ? School is going full swing and the Church is great. ?Just being a lot more careful.

Galatians 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

UPDATE!!! ? Report on how we are after loosing our personaria juridica in August;

1. We have Great NEW team Winnie, Marlon, Lawyer/CPA/bookkeeper resetting everything

2. ?The school and ministry are operating normally. ?We had to cut out extra stuff but the basics are still happening.

3. ?We should have everything back to normal in a few months, Lord Willing!

4. My ankle surgery has been postponed til Feb 7, a new ankle will help me a lot. I do not want to go back to the states thoo
