Fae Farm: Neppy
Neppy is the first of the four Sprites that I got to design for Fae Farm (the closest thing we have to Bosses). They're the Water Sprite and have a very childlike, playful personality. This design took quite a lot of exploration, especially for how we wanted the shader on their body to look, and I spent quite a bit of time in Blender playing around with different looks. I was quite fond of the iridescent hummingbird feather design, but we ultimately went in a more watery direction! My initial idea for Neppy was quite nubby and baby-like but under Katie de Sousa's direction we decided to bring some regalness and complexity back into the design. The antlers got quite a big upgrade to be more elaborate and crownlike, and the hands and tail got some added detail.
