GRITEC

A high-tech/state-of-the-art SME manufacturing/engineering services company. Utilises highly innovative technologies/techniques, e.g. computer-vision/AI for custom/tailored manufacturing projects/solutions

MASIRA-Gritec's in-line quality control platform/machine. Utilising latest cameras (2D, 3D, infrared..) mounted into an automation platform. Enables real-time quality control of production parts (eg injection mouldings) for 100% of parts produced (not just samples).? Gritec produce specialised machines according to customer's needs to fit their production processes

INVISTA - Gritec's presented us their answer for Smart Factories, i.e. their Industrial IoT Platform, which provides connectivity services for Gritec's machines, as well as integrating data (OPCUA standard) from other vendors to give full transparency of a production-line. Ability to trace individual parts manufactured and related data, including failure-cases. First step towards predictive-modelling of production processes with AI

CYBERSECURITY - Gritec presented their holistic approach to OT (and IT) security, and the challenges manufacturers typically face. This included how to handle OT system patching, Firewalls, and Security Architectures, and Defense-in-depth strategies.

• Remote machine operation requires low latency network connection and high-res cameras to feedback images and metadata to Trump's Global Operation Center
• Customers love this new approach which increases their production outputs 50% and enables them to tap Trumpf team's expertise to maximize the OEE of the customer's machines and cutting processes

IT infrastructure

• Trumpf understand importance of data connectivity ecosystem in factories
• Have developed an edge-to-cloud approach for their systems and 3rd parties also to enable Smart Factories
• Have also developed Smart-Factory-Host concept (local on-premise HW) to enable in factory hosting of containerised digital applications

A high tech SME providing a specialised and critical function to laboratories and production sites in the bio/pharma industry: Transporting of fluids from point a to point b. This is performed via pipette based solutions.
