Faction

Normally, this word is used to describe a clique within a larger group (i.e., The committee soon split into factions.). However, I’m using this word differently today. This time “faction” is another one of the words I’ve created to represent a new concept. I use this word to describe a combination of faith and action. People like to talk about having faith (in both spiritual and non-spiritual contexts), but faith is meaningless without action. In fact, it’s the action that demonstrates the true existence of the faith. Remember back to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) when Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones) stands at the edge of the abyss and must choose whether to take a step into the unknown? Taking the step is an act of faith or, as my new word describes, putting faith into action.
If you’re hesitating in any part of your life, commit to taking action (to being a person in faction) and watch what happens.
