“Fact-ize” Yourself for Real Results that Fit YOU!
I’m realizing that transparency is becoming more and more of the key ingredient needed for survival. Sadly, an increasing?lack?of transparency is becoming more and more evident in our current world and hidden agendas have become the norm. Someone looking for a job won’t truly share what they want from the position – and, within weeks to months leave disenfranchised with the company and its leadership (if they even show up to begin with).?
Hiring managers dare not share the full spectrum of needs and responsibility for the exact role to be filled. Instead, they grab at any “body” that seems willing to step into the empty shoes. Disappointment takes over as cultures clash, stress abounds, and the employee fails at an already doomed job.?
These are just examples in the work force. What about politics? Neighbor relations? Families? Spouses? Entire communities manage to isolate themselves due to a fear of relaying what they really feel, want, desire. For the sake of brevity, I won’t dive into the why. Let’s just establish that, for the sake of positive progress, transparency refers to open communication of perceptions, needs, intended results.?
How to make transparency easy:
1.?????Transform emotion to facts.
Facts don’t lie and cannot be argued. Facts force a conscious and sub-conscious analysis of the circumstances. If you don’t agree with the stance, you now have to find a new set of specifics that support you. And, when you can’t (or they can’t) provide relevant facts, then there is now an even grounds for negotiations or acquiescence to develop.?
When you feel frustrated, angry, unheard, unappreciated, inspired, motivated – empower yourself by paring away the fluff. What exactly is making this so hard, or easy, or…? These are facts. Facts provide safe ammunition to fair triumph. Facts offer a clear path to collaborative success.?
2.?????Choose your relationships.
Of course, accepting new facts may require us to swallow our pride. Only the narcissist, the stubborn, or those unwilling to grow themselves refute reality.?

Apply the same facts-only principle. Are people who refuse to remove their own rose-colored glasses the ones you wish to associate with further? Generally, we cannot change others or what’s going on around us. We can adjust how we respond. Reactivate your fact-finding: what real options do you have -or better yet- what possibilities can you make for yourself?
Take a step back as you lay out the truths. Are these circumstances what you want, or, where you want to be? Is this situation healthy for you and does it promote your values and goals? What is the realistic future based on facts at hand?
I recently read a post of a horrific, emotionally abusive exchange between a husband and wife. Her question was whether she should leave him. Reading the facts from an external perspective clearly pointed to a highly toxic marriage, showing no promise of improvement. Certainly, this is a question that only she can arrive at herself, once she removes the emotion and assesses the facts. Facts may reveal to her several potential solutions, such as therapy with proper behavioral guidelines or removal of herself and her children from these atrocious circumstances.?
Self-sabotage stems from us not recognizing certain facts and their impact on our own self. Connecting our relations with the world around us brings a new perspective. We are control of our choices for the who, what, where, when, etc. By fact-izing, we become empowered to nurture the relationships that serve us best.?
3.?????Commit to the Facts:
Accepting the Fact-izing Principle expands your opportunities without limits. Those around you will either raise their own levels for the better or naturally weed themselves out of your way.?
Per the Four Stages of Learning promoted in the 1970’s by Noel Burch, simply by reading this article, you have passed through the Unconscious and Conscious Incompetence phases. You are now aware, and the more you practice this art, the easier you will find it to actuate. Soon, you can master your fact-izing with high competence without even having to think about it. This skill will become natural for you.?
Place yourself into environments conducive to your own success. Far less stress, huge wins, and, no other way to go but?towards?your desires.
That is FACT!
