Fact or Fiction

It is said that all theory factual or otherwise tends to repeat with the passage of enough time. I belief there is some validity to this let me explain. We have become a society that accepts and propagates theory without regard to veracity or even logic. We pass on, post, tweet and otherwise disseminate any information that supports whatever the political wind of the moment suggest is the truth.

There is a branch of philosophy called epistemology which deals with the study of knowledge and examines the distinction between what is justified belief and what is merely opinion. I submit that we have become a society that not only accepts the latter as opposed to the former but actually prefers it. What do i mean we have a president who uses his platform to debase,bully and attack his detractors by any means necessary without any regard for the validity or rationality of his arguments.

The French philosopher Rene Descartes said "The greatest minds are capable of the greatest vices as well as of the greatest virtues" I submit that the divining line must be a people grounded in something more than the prevailing wind. Dr. Martin Luther King said "Our lives begin to end when we become silent about things that matter. We are there right now we are at a point where must decide between the will of the Father that gave us life or the prevailing with that changes direction continuously
