Facing your fears.

I am looking up because I want to see beyond the limits of the sky. Your perspective changes as well as your feelings.

You will feel two things. Well, I did as a child.

One was motion. Everything is in motion. Because of motion, when you look up, everything you see is shifting to a different perspective. That was fascinating to me as a kid.

How come everything moves differently? What would it be like to be up there among the clouds? What lies beyond?

The fear that I would stop myself from going beyond the clouds.

The second thing I felt was fear. Fear because it seemed too high to even reach. The fear that when I would be up there, the height would scare me The fear that I would stop myself from going beyond the clouds.

This is why I take my architecture shots like this.

As I grew older I traveled by airplane and I always take the window seat. I feel free when I am flying on a plane. I look out and watch the clouds and try to see as much above me as possible.

You can face your fears by yourself or with the help of someone else.

There is still some fear left. Fear of going beyond what I can see and maybe not returning. But...Like I did the first time I stepped into that airplane, I faced my fear head-on. I have some other fears, will talk about them another time.
