Facing adversity at work
For many of us, our jobs define who we are. So when we face adversity, whether it is a dis-agreeable co-worker, a tough project or a non-supportive boss, it is easy for us to lose perspective on the challenges we must face and overcome. You should focus on what really matters and what you can do each day to impact that.
For me, I keep by my monitor, a brief summary of what my dad endured in WWII and say, bring it on. We all should say thanks to those in the Armed Forces who face much greater challenges in their job than us, they protect our freedom and allow us the luxury of pursuing our passions.

7 年Pat, Your Dad is a hero and a great inspiration for his service to the nation in spite of all the adversities and near misses during combat. Really loved this sentence - "You should focus on what really matters and what you can do each day to impact that". It's very true!

7 年Pat, your dad is a hero and an inspiration! As you mention, we must thank our Service personnel for all they have done and do.
