Facilitate Q4 2022 Newsletter

Hello!

We hope 2022 has been a great year for you. For Facilitate, we've experienced a significant increase in interest in experiential workplace and educational learning. As VR technology continues to improve and use cases become clearer, the business case for VR and Facilitate also becomes more compelling.

?We'd like to share our annual snapshot of the year's achievements and let you know what we're planning for '23.

?

Highlights of 2022

?

Growing our impact

We're thrilled to have supported a record number of creators and learners across a variety of valuable learning use cases. From helping to reduce the risks of working in underground mining with Northern Star Mining Services, to lowering anxiety of ICU patients at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, all the way to helping increase inclusivity at the University of North Carolina - Facilitate is empowering creators to disrupt how learning takes place.

Creator licence?

We've made Facilitate more flexible by separating the 'creation' and 'consumption' features of our software. This gives customers the choice of paying for the functionality which is most important to them.

Micro-simulation Editor

The ability to turn a 3D model into an educational experience by adding interactions and instructional guidance, is unique to Facilitate. This year we've made this creation process even more accessible by greatly improving the usability of Facilitate's Micro-simulation Editor.

Facilitate's Partner Program

This year we grew our partner program substantially and added new content partners and resellers in various geographies. Currently, the program has 14 partners with various specialist skills but all with a clear understanding of how to create value with Facilitate.?

Return to physical events!?

We returned to our first physical conferences since the pandemic, exhibiting at both the L&D Innovation and Tech Fest in Sydney and LearnTech in Perth.??We also presented at LearnTech about how to create an effective VR learning experience.

Looking to 2023

?

Facilitate is growing!?

Next year, the Facilitate team will grow to include a variety of new roles. This is an exciting time and we look forward to multiplying our impact in the learning space with this capacity. Stay tuned for introductions early next year.?

Relentless focus on 'usability'?

Our mission is to bring the power of VR learning to everyone. That means making our creation tools easy enough to use so that anyone can create. This has been and will continue to be a strong focus for us in 2023. Ease of use is important for any new technology and we've already flagged some key usability improvements such as:?

  • Optimised content downloading
  • Greater accessibility options through browser-based access
  • Optimising the creation workflow: making it easier to create, test, refine and distribute content.

?

Partner program

2023 will also see us focusing on the Facilitate partner program. Our new Head of Partnerships will spearhead this and we are aiming to grow both the breadth and depth of the network.

?

Empowering creators

Lastly, we have some ambitious ideas for 2023 about how we will support and embolden learning creators to successfully make the leap to immersive and experiential content. If you're a learning creator that is interested in being a leader in this sector, we'd love to hear from you.

Facilitate's mission is to positively impact more than a billion lives through better learning and training experiences. Thank you to all of you who have contributed to this mission in various ways this year. We hope that you are inspired to continue with us on our journey to bring powerful learning to people everywhere.

We wish you and your loved ones a happy festive season and a great start to the new year.?

All the best,

Ben
