News and Updates from SJP

CYC Toolkit Update and Common Errors

SJP has updated their CYC guidance and clarified what should be included when running a CYC for pension drawdown cases. The updated document can be found here. This toolkit provides a detailed approach for each case type and covers the various scenarios you may face with replacement business.

We have a CYC Common Errors document, compiled by Business Assurance, that supports the CYC toolkits but is packed with simple explanations of common errors. If you would like a copy, please get in touch via email at [email protected] to request your document.

Lead Management in Salesforce

You may have missed this from a weekly update in December. Leads in salesforce (which now replaces prospect manager) will be deleted unless there is activity recorded on salesforce within 3 months, starting the 1st of February.

Tax Year End

There are 62 working days until the end of the tax year. Some resources have been made available to those who opted out of the centralised mailing, which you can access here.

Careful planning and execution of your tax year-end plan is critical to ensuring all business is completed in adherence with the cut-off periods.

OAF Switch Off and Refunds

If you missed it, there was an update on the OAF switch-off published on the 24th of January 2023; this included details of the process for communicating with clients and the potential refund and the impact on you as a business; the full details are available here.

ACM 2024

The annual company meeting took place on Friday, the 26th of January, at the O2; the general feedback we heard from the event was that it was a positive experience for all who attended or watched the livestream. To access the summary of the day, you can visit the SJP sharepoint link available here
