#FacesOfCA: Meet Keisha Jordan
Keisha Jordan, JD joined Curriculum Associates in 2020 as a senior talent specialist before being promoted to talent partner in 2022. Keisha is a former middle school social studies teacher who shares CA's mission to make classrooms better places for teachers and students.
What is your role here, and what does a typical day in the life look like for you??
I start my day reviewing resumes for the open roles I'm responsible for. I typically spend up to two hours a day on reviewing resumes before moving on to scheduling candidate interviews. Anywhere from an hour to half of my day is typically meetings: collaborating with hiring teams on open roles and supporting them through the hiring and interviewing process.
In other meetings, I’m strategizing with senior leaders or executives. Additionally, the Talent team often holds team meetings, trainings, or collaborations on best practices.
I also interview candidates and spend time talking with current CA employees who are thinking of making an internal move. Supporting current employees with their internal mobility goals is one of my favorite parts of my job!
Finally, I try to reserve time each day to source candidates—looking for people who have the experience and background for specific roles but haven’t applied. I review LinkedIn profiles, look through previous applicants in our applicant tracking system, and reach out to potential candidates to encourage them to apply for roles with which they're best aligned.
What excited you or intrigued you about working for Curriculum Associates??
I have always been drawn to education and education spaces in general. I taught Grade 8 history for a small, high-performing charter district in my area for several years. From there, I transitioned out of the classroom to be the district's director of talent acquisition and development. That was my first recruiting role, and although I had never considered recruitment before, it was the perfect blend of my teaching knowledge and my previous sales experience. I immediately jumped in and learned that finding amazing people to join an equally amazing team is one of my passions!?
I wanted to grow my experience and career in recruitment, but I was also ready to go back to the private sector, so I was looking for a company with a positive culture that was making a difference in the world. CA was the perfect match!

What’s a project or professional accomplishment you’re particularly proud of?
I am the primary recruiter for CA's Product Development/Management and Research, Assessment, and Measurement teams, and I am most proud of those partnerships.
In May 2023 alone, the roles I support for those teams received more than 1,700 applications. I was able to fill 12 roles that month for those teams, and it always feels good to find more great people to join CA—knowing they will bring more support to teams and their skills and passion will impact classrooms.
What’s something you learned at CA that was unexpected??
I did my research on CA before I had my first interview, and I kept coming across all of these glowing reviews on Glassdoor . The reviews talked about CA’s positive workplace culture, passionate colleagues, strong leadership, and amazing products. I wanted to believe the reviews, but there were so many I thought they had to be inflated. Once I started at CA, I was surprised and pleased to discover those reviews were true, and now, almost three years later, CA continues to show up and show out!
During interviews, I love when candidates ask what I enjoy about CA so I can share my personal experience firsthand.
