Christophe CUZOL, Operations Director

1. What are your main tasks within WPO as an Operations Director?

My main task is to overview the services delivered by our technical staff of 45 in the European countries we operate in. This involves a lot of management but also a fair level of technical activities and frequent contacts with clients.

2. Could you describe the Technical Management Services of WPO?

We operate 9 GW of renewable and battery assets in Europe. We monitor the technical and HSEQ performance of the assets and provide detailed reports to our clients, offtakers or lenders.

Site/asset inspections and management of contractor's activities on site are also a big part of our activities.

3. What makes the Technical Management Services of WPO unique?

TMS is very agile and at the same time following firm HSEQ and operational processes applied in all jurisdictions, meaning our clients are receiving the same quality of services from Andalusia to the Arctic circle!

With the variety of proposed services, all the requirements for perfect and safe operations in a fast changing electricity market are fulfilled, from 24/7 monitoring to site inspections.

Every client gets a dedicated and experienced key account manager who fulfills the role of "client inside" to always challenge the services we are providing, and keeping us aware of market evolutions.

4. What do you like most about WPO?

I guess the culture of trust makes of WPO a very modern and flexible employer, a place where everyone knows why he comes to work every morning.

A very rich background in the Renewable Energy industry

Christophe Cuzol started in 1999 as wind engineer at WSB (now VSB) in Dresden, Germany, working on wind measurements and energy yield assessments in Europe and Turkey.

He then moved back to France in 2002, still with VSB, where he developped some wind projects and monitored 100+ wind measurement campains. He started the operations departement in 2008 when the first assets came online.

When he joined WPO in 2018, the company had reached 500MW of assets in operation in France.
