The Faces of WPO
Get to know our amazing staff and their stories
Marion Maillard, Deputy Sales Director
1. Could you describe your role as Deputy Sales Director and the main responsibilities it entails?
I joined the Sales & Business Development team in WPO to support the Group Sales Director and to further develop WPO's service activities. A key part of my role is to engage with existing and future customers so I can fully understand and meet their needs.
To do this, I'll be taking part in many industry events in Europe, but I'll also be working hand in hand with the other team members to satisfy our customer's requirements.
2. How do you plan to contribute to WPO's growth and success?
I hope to use my knowledge and network in the renewable energy sector to significantly impact WPO sales and business activities. In my previous job, I had the opportunity to structure service sales activities by implementing tracking tools, and other systems to increase business performance.
In the first instance, it is very important to understand how our current teams work, so that we can suggest improvements where needed.
3. What are the most challenging and rewarding aspects of being a Deputy Sales Director?
Being a Deputy Sales Director involves navigating a range of challenges, from strategic alignment and team management to performance metrics and customer relationships. However, the role also offers substantial rewards, including the achievement of goals, the development of team members, strategic influence, and personal growth.
Balancing these aspects requires dedication, skill, and a passion for both the role and the organisation's success.

Finally, I'll look forward to engaging with many clients and colleagues at the Energa?a trade fair in Montpellier on 11 and 12 December.
