I started as an AP/AR Specialist and made my goals clear during the interview. The tasks were interesting, but I wanted something more. Thanks to my managers and HR's guidance, I knew what to aim for and how to achieve it.?

In half a year, I was promoted to the Finance Сontroller position. It was not available when I first applied, and I saw this as an opportunity to apply my previous experience and take the next step in my career. Stagnation is not my thing—it's very important for me to grow.

Working as an AP/AR Specialist, I had the following tasks:

• payment of invoices from bank accounts
• facilitation of the subscription process
• bank reconciliation for different banks
• organisation of the subscription table
• control of the existing subscriptions.?

Now, my tasks are different. I pay invoices as before, but I also have some new things to do.

While my responsibility, organisation, and quick understanding of the assigned tasks have all contributed to my growth within the company, the help of my supervisor, team lead, and assigned HR specialist have accelerated my career development even further.

I wouldn't receive the help if I remained silent about my goals. I stated them during the interview and throughout my work as an AP/AR Specialist and got notified about the opportunity for promotion.
