Facebook - So What's next?

Facebook - So What's next?

With Facebook announcing the Armageddon for business page and publishers, I've been asked by friends and colleagues what I thought of the changes.

First of all, Facebook can do whatever it feels like - it's a business and as users we have to be resilient and adapt to changes. Facebook has always been announcing changes and reduction of organic reach and I have always found ways to connect to my audience without having to pay the ever increasing advert fee to Facebook.

There is more to social media than just Facebook, so if you have all your eggs in one basket and relied only on this platform for your business you are going to struggle. After Facebook shut down a page I owned with over 200,000 followers, due to it's disagreement with Universal Music - I've always aimed to have the most engaging and popular profiles on Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, website/google search visits and email marketing.

Customers are people. People will buy from you when they feel they know you and learn about your product. They buy for all different reasons. Marketing your business is so much more than Facebook and social media. Explore other channels. What other ways could your business save money, make money and make customers happy? Be open to change and whatever you do, don't be giving Mark Zuckerberg even more money!

What are your concerns or suggestions?
