Facebook is the New YouTube!!

Have you noticed that Facebook has added a new ‘Watch’ tab in its app? I haven’t really seen this new feature but just got to know about it. I am sticking to my resolution of not installing the resource hungry Facebook app on my mobile. Well, coming back to the topic of discussion, is Facebook really posing a threat to YouTube?

Well, let me remind you guys of those days when we used to share Youtube links of videos on facebook, click on them to play it directly on facebook. Man..!! that was so easy. But now guys.. its even easier. You can directly upload the view on Facebook, upload even hours of video, share your live feed to directly reach your followers, watch trailers which are directly uploaded on facebook and at last.. aah..!!! the ‘Watch’ feature. You may no longer need to visit youtube to watch those web series or install any other app. And for those admins who have lakhs of Likes on their pages, you guys are literally minting money through the recently added un-skippable ads feature on your uploaded videos.

So guys.. enough of the crap already. Let me cut it short

• YouTube has users uploading their videos to be shared on Social Media. So has Facebook now.
• YouTube has Channels of Content providers. So has Facebook now.
• YouTube has Ads revenue and its share to the uploaders. So has Facebook now.
• YouTube has live video streaming feature. So has Facebook now.
• YouTube had IPL streaming Rights. Only Facebook has it now.
• YouTube has your favourite Music Videos. So has Facebook now.
• YouTube has XYZ. Facebook now has XY and Z is coming soon.

So, next time when I open my Chrome Browser, I will have just 1 tab for Facebook, and none for youtube. I can directly watch any trailer shared by the official page of the movie directly on Facebook and not YouTube.
