Facebook Marketplace Opportunities Missing for Automotive Dealers - Quick Fix

Did you "try and cancel" a messenger bot, answering service, or 3rd party that was managing your Messenger at one time?
Chances are you are missing out on a ton of Facebook Marketplace Messenger opportunities because your team is not seeing your Marketplace Messenger Leads.
Many dealers have been calling Dealers United asking us why they are not receiving any Marketplace Messenger opportunities on the vehicles we post for them.
What did we find?
Every dealer we looked into had "tried" a messenger service, "cancelled" the messenger service and did not clean up their Facebook Page Settings.
What does that mean?
The "cancelled" vendor was still getting the dealers Marketplace Messenger opportunities routed to them but NOT answering. This was also marking the conversation as "Done" instead of showing up in the dealers Facebook Page Messenger "Main" Inbox.
Hundreds of Vehicles inquires in most cases were left unanswered...
How do you fix this?
Here is a YouTube Video to help walk you through the problem and solution to viewing your Facebook Marketplace Messenger conversations.
Are you Facebook Marketplace inquires missing from Facebook Messenger or automatically showing up in the Messenger "Done" folder?
Here is a step by step guide on how to remove old Messenger providers and show new Marketplace Opportunities in Facebook Messenger Inbox.
- Go to Your Facebook Business Page Settings https://business.facebook.com/PAGENAME/settings
- Go to Messenger Platform
- Under App Settings, click Configure
- Remove Primary Handler
- Select Page Inbox as Secondary Receiver and remove all other providers
When finished your App Settings should look like the screenshot above.
Make sure you test when finished and ensure you have a follow up process to handle these low funnel vehicle opportunities for your dealership.
