Facebook Groups Yes or N?

I know we are on LinkedIn, but the truth is that Facebook is still the most used platform that there is out there, and ignoring that some of your clients (and in some cases most of them), hang out there, would be irresponsible as a business owner.
I’ve been getting questions whether FB groups could be a source for getting clients when a coach doesn’t have a good enough organic audience.
And the answer is, yes…
But if you’re doing it properly.
So I’m going to share with you a few things you should do, and a few you shouldn’t that very few coaches looking for clients are doing.
They’re either not doing the right thing…
Or they keep doing the wrong ones.
And when you learn and apply what I’m about to share, you gain an unfair advantage over 99% of the population.
So let’s first discuss some DO’s:
?
-Join the FB group of your audience, and not of your own kind
For example, if you are a startup business coach… Join the FB group titled “Startup business owners†and not “Startup business Coachesâ€
Now if you want to learn as well, you can join the latter too.
-Start commenting
The first thing you want to do is to market your name. Answer whatever questions someone posts. Add value to comment box with insightful comments, etcetera.
?-Take the most asked questions and answer it with your posts
You can also visit Reddit or any other platform to see what kind of value does your prospects want, and you give it to them through your posts.
?
And let’s now slide into some DON’Ts:
?

-Don’t pitch your services?
Neither in comments nor in posts. Also, there are some groups that may ban you for this. So be careful.
-Don’t go on DMing everyone in the group
This is not a good strategy to go about it. It’s only when you see someone asking for help through a post, that you message and offer them to help.
-Don’t spend hours in FB groups
This one’s biggest issue I’ve seen with most coaches. They spend hours in FB groups, scrolling, commenting and posting. What you want to do instead, is you block an hour in your day, and spend time posting, commenting and connecting. When the time’s up, you stop right away.
This way you’ll have time to focus on other sources as well.
-Don’t rely on it completely
Though FB groups can be a good source for getting clients, especially when you’re doing the things mentioned above…
But it’s definitely not the best.
As I keep saying, building your own audience is the BEST way to set up a lead generation machine.
That’s why your main focus should be growing your own personal profile…
And learning and applying strategies that can get you leads, bring them on sales call, and close the deal.
I hope that helps leverage a source of leads that has proven to be one of the most effectives in the online space so far
Much love,
Carlos
