Facebook recently announced that after just over a year of launching its podcast platform, it will be shutting it down. When Facebook launched the platform many of us were excited to be able to add another syndication platform for our podcast, but this excitement has been short lived with the closing of Facebook podcasting service. Being a podcaster myself, I too was excited, but I'm not too disappointed in this new turn of events with Facebook, because my podcast Good Morning Gwinnett is syndicated on many other services. The shut down will take place on June 3rd.
So you maybe asking, what's next for the social media giant and there is a next, but what does that mean for podcasters? Well, Facebook has said that it will now be integrating its live audio room offerings into Facebook Lives. Now here's the thing. I didn't even know that Facebook had live audio rooms. Apparently they are very similar to Clubhouse. Now I have to go back and see if this is something that will benefit my podcast since I plan to start going live next week. When I first got on Clubhouse, it was addictive. If these audio rooms have been around for awhile, and no one is talking about them, then they must not be able to match up to Clubhouse. I'm definitely going to find out and come back and share my findings with you. Can Facebook Live Audio Rooms Match Up To Clubhouse? We shall see.
Until Next Time. Make It A Great Day!

2 年I look forward to learning more about FB audio rooms. I've been waiting patiently for LinkedIn's Audio rooms to be rolled out to everyone.
