Your Story is a Facebook Advertising Agency. During the last few months, I have been amazed at the sales that we have generated through Facebook and Instagrams Ads.

When I left Mediacom in March 2013 to set up my own business I was keen not to set up in a dying sector. For example, Press advertising was already in decline. We had recruited a social media specialist to Mediacom. I could immediately recognise its applications to Brand Building and Employer Branding. It really felt it was an area of media I could get involved in.

I studied with the Institute of Digital Marketing for a Certificate in Social Media. Shortly after launching my business, I was joined by Elle Vipond who is a whiz on Facebook. And so, CBComms was born!

Aside from some long-term clients, I met my first clients through 4N networking – Gareth Beckwith (Crown to Cuff) whom I’m still working with within his new business?Crown Hairline, and Tom Lawrence. Tom gave me a great piece of advice. He told me that my chosen business name sounded like a telecoms company. I immediately got his point and changed my name to CBSocial. He also appointed me to work with him on his new business venture EweMove and introduced me to some of his colleagues in the business. I’ll always be grateful to you both for giving me a start!

At this point, Facebook and Instagram Advertising were in their early stages. In 2013 Facebook bought Atlas Solutions from Microsoft for $100 million to escalate its ad-serving capabilities. Retargeted ads started showing up in users’ feeds, displaying products and services users searched for outside of the Facebook universe. Over those 8 years, we have kept abreast of all the changes and evolutions of Facebook and are now experts in this field.
