Face the fear

My 4yr went out with her grandparents to the shore recently. She enjoyed building castles and playing in sand.
When she was narrating her experience to me, I asked why did you not step in the water.
She couldn't explain, only said no I didn't go. When I said next time when I come along,
together we will go and have fun in water.
She was instantly reluctant and firm saying no we aren't going. When I said alright, you be at the shore and I will go in and enjoy. NO you aren't going either was her reaction.
Sensing the unsaid fear, I had to now think of not having this in her mind blueprinting. Then when I told her Do you remember when Moana (cartoon movie) reached the shore she didn't hesitate, she stepped in. (This made her listen to me carefully)
Then I immediately continued with putting it in a game or activity (Its easy to enroll one's mind or attention using this)
I told her its a game which the water/sea plays with you. Its coming to catch you and you run away else you will be out.
The moment I said this, she chuckled and was ready (in her mind) to play the game.
This made me realize there must have been ample instances or situations when without knowing or without facing we created a mental block and never faced it. Even stopped other from doing it.
Take a look back at yourself and see if you can change your way of looking at it now and ready to face it.
