Face in the Crowd

Wow!! Writing this article down makes me walk through the 9 years path I have travelled so far in this industry! Oh! what a thrilling journey it has been!

Let me tell start with a story, a story of many women who dared to dream and break the cruel barriers of society. Where everyone around you, wanted to see you fail but never said out loud, but you can feel it in their tone, see it in their eyes, rooting for you to fail so that they can make an example for other girls “What does it matter, in the end she has to get married and raise family “. I come from one such society, Trust me, it was so much fun to watch them fall flat on their faces when I became an engineer and got my first salary. I still remember the day when I called up my father stating I have got my first Job, He cried and said, “Congratulations, and Thank you, you shut those people up!” I am grateful that I have supportive parents without their courage I would not be where I am today.

?Since then, I have not looked back. I started my career as an Associate Quality Analyst in 2015. From very early on I felt the need to understand customers’ pain and struggles, and I have always been working, advising, suggesting ideas to make our products more and more user-friendly. I had a passion for finding defects, I find it thrilling and fascinating to capture defects! I have worked in health industry, retail, and business information. When I Joined Mindera 5 years back, I was working as an Automation Test Engineer. Working here with a client in a retail industry, walking in customers’ shoes everyday made me interested in building a career in Product.

I spoke to my mentors and my Lead, and they so kindly encouraged me to pursue my dream. They helped me find the right courses, certifications and helped me throughout this journey of mine. Mindera provided me the opportunity to fulfill this dream of mine and Today I am working as a Business Analyst, working towards my career in Product Management.

?Hey you! The one who is reading this article, whether you are a newbie in this tech world or you are struggling in your path or you are just trying to find your way in, my message to you is Congratulations, you are already an inspiration to many others. Just taking a mere step into this industry, you are inspiring thousands of other women out there.

And if you are struggling at this moment, please hang on, there will come a time in your life when you will look back and will be so proud of yourself for not giving up ! Trust me, it will all be worth it.
