On March 28, 2023, Fabio Barbosa Director of Loss Prevention from ABINEE - Brazilian Electrical and Electronics Industry Association, had a meeting with the Brazilian Senator Tereza Cristina in her senate office in Brasilia (Brazil Capitol) to discuss her partnership in the new regulation laws against cargo theft and its distribution chain.

Senator Tereza Cristina is the former Agricultural Minister and was elected to the senate for tenure from 2023 to 2031, she is a member of the important Commission of Constitution and Justice of Senate and is a strong voice against cargo theft that also affects very hard the agricultural market (defensive products, special seeds).

One of the proposals is to conduct a review of the Brazilian Penal Code to modify certain articles that are outdated, especially regarding the penalties attributed to resellers of stolen goods, moreover, we are utilizing her knowledge to support the creation of a regulation that can create the traceability hallmark to all high-tech products and their packages, pursuing the Circular Economy.
