The Fab Four
Once upon a time, there were four girls. The first of the four entered the world on April 9th, 2000. An Aries through and through, born with enough fire to light up any room. Exactly four weeks later came the next, who was welcomed home from the hospital by her 28 day-old predecessor. She would grow out of her colicky nature eventually, becoming a source of calm for the rest. Fast forward a whopping 10 days, and number three came along, on May 17th. With her own three, much older siblings, this one learned a sense of humor fast, picking up on how to entertain a room before beginning to walk. And the universe waited patiently for the fourth to settle into place. On July 11th, the last girl, the curious, adventurous one, made her way into the world, ready to pave a path less traveled. As the four girls grew, they quickly found each other, and held on tight. By the ripe age of 10, their fate was sealed: best friends, forever.

Throughout my life, I have found myself looking around for the hidden camera crews, waiting for a director to yell “aaaand SCENE!” Not because my life follows a perfectly crafted plot, but because I was given the most quintessential, stars-aligning, childhood best friends - the type that movies are made of. While I was only born with one brother, I like to say that I was raised with three sisters too: CC, Izze, and Haley. Each one entered my life at a different stage, but by fifth grade, we had woven our stories into one, and it is my favorite story to read.
