The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has initiated an investigation into Boeing regarding potential misconduct involving the 787 Dreamliner. This follows previous probes into Boeing's activities, including one related to a 737 MAX incident. Boeing disclosed irregularities in a 787 test at its South Carolina plant, where employees allegedly recorded work as completed without actually performing required tests. This isn't the first time documentation issues have arisen at Boeing, as seen in the Jan. 5 737 MAX incident. The FAA's current investigation could impact plane production and existing aircraft. Boeing is undertaking inspections and corrective actions, but the full response remains unclear. Concerns about Boeing's safety culture have been raised, including by a current engineer citing inadequacies in manufacturing practices.
