A FA-ntastic Contract

It's not often a dream client knocks on the door - or in these times, pings you a DM - but this time it was the Football Association. Yes, the FA, as they are commonly known, reached out to Diamond Interior Contracts for help with interior refurbishment of the reception area and a lighting refit. FAntastic news!

As a lifelong fan of football, and an ardent follower of Milwall (yes dear reader, before you say it, no contradiction in terms at all), this was a very exciting contract. We sat down with the FA team and gave them advice and guidance based on our years of experience preparing similar, large-scale and public facing installations.

Once the terms and a lighting plan were agreed, we began the process of upgrading their reception area and the lighting in their open plan office. In the back of my mind was the thought that some of the people crossing that reception area and going into the offices would have multi-million pound homes with state of the art lighting. We had to deliver lighting to impress while working to a budget, a deadline and with minimum disruption to their busy team. All fairly standard on our contracts.

We recommended coloured LED lighting to enhance the look and feel of the areas and improve the aesthetic appeal of the offices and reception area.

Alongside this, we also carried out the installation of stylish picture lighting in their 'Hall of Fame' for additional functionality and style. It was a real treat to be able to take a look round the Hall of Fame and the highlight for me was bumping into Gareth Southgate. No doubt Gareth is still talking about when he bumped into Steve from Diamond Interiors. No?

Recently we have been working with a large TV sports provider so I am looking forward to writing up the details of that contract. At present we can't talk about it due to the terms of our agreements, but the skies the limit when we get the go-ahead.
