Fa La La La Blah?

Fa La La La Blah?

While the holidays are meant to bring out the best of us (*read 'Good will towards yada, yada, yada'), the reality for many of us is that this is crunch time.

Year end deadlines. Client demands to use up their budget. Office parties. Gift exchanges. Decorations for days. We all have our 'holiday triggers' that just set us on edge (*read 'Mariah Carey's version of All I want for Christmas makes Cale rage').

So let's pause for a moment, take a sip of our Egg Nog Latte from Starbucks and ask ourselves a few questions:

  1. Did anything blow up, burn down or implode because of something you did or didn't do at work?
  2. Did the world stop spinning on its axis because you chose to take a vacation/sick/mental health day(s)?
  3. Did your Company/Boss/Coworkers curl up in a little ball and cry uncontrollably until you got back to save the day?

If you answered Yes to any of these questions, it might be time to seriously evaluate some things in your professional life. If you answered No to all of these questions, then I hope it put your stress level in perspective. You are human. You have limits. You are allowed to feel stress but you are also allowed to let that stuff go!!

So.....have that extra piece of fudge. Have one more glass of bubbly at your Company Holiday party. Allow yourself to hum along to that Christmas Carol you despise.....Mariah.......

And above all else,
