The FA has announced that the prize money for the Women's FA Cup next year will receive a significant increase after criticism of the difference in financial rewards with the men’s competition.

The prize money for winning this season’s men’s FA Cup final is UK￡1.8 million (US$2.4 million), with UK￡900,000 (US$1.2 million) for the runners-up. For the women’s competition, the winner gets UK￡25,000 (US$33,000) and the runner up just UK￡15,000 (US$20,000).
