The F... Word is a Fit

Why do I use the word fascist to describe America?

Because the shoe fits.

Based on preeminent scholar Robert Paxton's definition of fascism, Trump's regime is Fascist

Sense of Crisis and Decline

Fascist movements emerge out of a pervasive feeling that the existing order is in crisis—whether this crisis is economic, social, or moral—and that traditional or liberal solutions are inadequate. They promise radical renewal or national resurrection in the face of perceived decline.

Perceived existential threats at the border and enemy’s within are key platforms for Trump. MAGA and The Heritage Foundation.?

Primacy of the Group

Fascists define and exalt a specific community—most often the nation or race—above the individual. They emphasize group identity, unity, and the pursuit of collective strength, often turning those outside the group into scapegoats (ethnic minorities, political opponents, etc.).

Christian nationalism White Supremacy and exaltation of the traditional heterosexual white christian nuclear family are?

Feeling of Victimhood and Threat

A central argument of fascist rhetoric is that “our group” (nation, race, etc.) is under threat—humiliated, victimized, or diminished by internal and external enemies. This perceived threat justifies extraordinary measures against those deemed hostile.

Trump 2.0

Mexican rapists after white wives is a recurring theme in MAGA and a key talking point? for Trump.Canada, Mexico and Europe have all been unfair to the US.?

Dread of Decline and the Call for Purity

Fascists portray their community as destined for greatness but held back by moral decay, foreign elements, or weak leadership. They call for a cleansing process—removing or suppressing those who allegedly corrupt the body politic—to restore the community’s “purity.”

Immigrants are ‘poisoning the blood of our country. Enough said.

Cult of Unity, Energy, and “Manly” Virtue

In place of political pluralism or debate, fascist movements cultivate a heightened sense of collective purpose. They celebrate action, discipline, vigor, and masculine camaraderie. Rituals, rallies, and symbols (uniforms, salutes, flags) reinforce unity and energize followers.

Trump 2.0?

While Musk ransacks the US government with action orientation and boys with social media handles like “big Balls”, Zuckerberg and his oligrach peers are searching for manly men.?

Rejection of Democratic Norms

Although fascists sometimes ascend to power through electoral means, they display hostility to liberal democracy and its institutions. They dismiss freedoms such as independent courts, free press, and multiparty systems as signs of weakness or decadence.

Trump 2.0

Ignore congress, ignore the judiciary and look to recreate America as a monarchy under Trump.

Subordination of Reason to Will or Instinct

Paxton notes that fascists often place “feeling” or “instinct” above rational critique. An emotional appeal to mythic narratives, symbols, and slogans is favored over detailed policy programs. Complexity is reduced to slogans that glorify the group’s will.

Trump 2.0

“Don’t believe what you see or hear. Believe me.” Enough said.

Celebration of Violence and Militarism

Violence is not merely a political tool but is often celebrated as regenerative or purifying. Fascist movements glorify militaristic values—loyalty, obedience, hierarchy—and see violence as a means to achieve national rejuvenation and suppress enemies.

Trump 2.0

Embraces Putin and rejecte peace loving liberal democracy BECAUSE the alliance stands for freedom and national sovereignty.

Reliance on Authoritarian Leadership

Fascism exalts a charismatic leader who embodies the will of the community. This leader is presented as a unifier beyond the reach of ordinary legal or political constraints, and personal loyalty to the leader becomes a supreme virtue.

Trump 2.0

Big Daddy Trump is watching us all….

So, go ahead. Call a spade a spade. Trump and his cronies are the real deal, they are fascists. They are enemies of liberal democracy and will do whatever it takes to sabotage peace and prosperity in Europe and Canada.
