Hungry for more? Read on…
There’s no doubt that since it launched in 2004, Facebook has become the powerhouse of social media platforms.
Although it’s been around for 20 years now, new features launch regularly and there are certain aspects of the platform that people are still unfamiliar with, which is where we step in. Although Facebook usage may be declining with younger generations, we still think it's important to ensure that your business shows up on the platform as it still has over 2 billion daily active users.
We manage many clients' Facebook pages, profiles and groups, so like to consider ourselves experts in this ever changing platform.
Here are just a few things that we assist our clients with on a daily basis...
Scheduling posts
One job many of our clients hand over to us is writing and scheduling their social media posts. We can’t stress enough how helpful and efficient it is to plan your social media content, write and design it, and schedule it in the planner/calendar. It just takes all the stress out of social media and means you know you've always got content going out!
Managing groups
If you run a Facebook group, we can take on the admin side of this and monitor the page on your behalf, letting you know about any comments that need to be responded to or issues that might have popped up. We can also help you to set the group up or create posts for regular interaction with group members.
Maintaining profiles
We can update your profile, like or comment on posts on your behalf or share them to your feed and keep your profile ticking over. We can also make sure things like your business hours are up-to-date and any reviews or messages are responded to.?
Monitoring insights
Keeping an eye on your page insights gives you insider information that will help to get your posts seen by more people. We can keep an eye on your insights and track what your most popular posts are, who your top followers are, and even what time of day is best to post to ensure you get the biggest reach.?
Adverts and boosting posts
In order to reach a wider audience, we can manage adverts and boost posts for you, ensuring you’re targeting the right people and getting your message out there.
“The question I ask myself like almost every day is, ‘Am I doing the most important thing I could be doing?’ … Unless I feel like I’m working on the most important problem that I can help with, then I’m not going to feel good about how I’m spending my time.” Mark Zuckerberg
Here are a couple of the Pink Spaghetti Marketing team’s biggest tips for using Facebook for your business.
Post consistently
Having a consistent posting schedule is a great idea. It can help to keep your audience engaged and also means your content should continue to show up on their newsfeed. It also lets any new visitors know you're active on the platform. Consistency doesn't need to mean you're posting 5 times a week - even once a week is enough if your content is right!
Plan your posts
Plan out your posts ahead of time. You can even go as far to plan and write social media posts for big events, such as Christmas, Easter and Valentine’s Day. Awareness days can also make for great content - there's one for everything from serious causes through to 'National Spaghetti Day' and 'National Dress Up Your Pet Day'!
Keep your profile looking professional
Make sure you have a clear profile picture, obvious business logo and detailed ‘About’ section, including opening hours and links to your website and other social media platforms.
Checking how your business page looks both on a mobile device and a desktop is also a great idea to check that it all looks how you expected.
Always engage with your audience
It's called social media for a reason. Respond quickly to messages and reviews in order to build trust among your customers and don’t leave comments unanswered. Just like you probably don't want to feel like you're shouting into the void, the same is true for your followers. You can encourage engagement by asking questions and running polls for followers to get involved with.
Always use ‘Call to Action’ buttons
Facebook has handy ‘Call to Action’ buttons that you can implement on your profile/page that allows your followers to message you, to buy something from your shop, to even call you, with the click of a button, saving them lots of time and effort, which they’ll thank you for.
As experts in using Facebook, we’d be more than happy to take on any tasks you need doing on the platform. This can save you lots of time that could be spent focusing elsewhere.
