Eyes on
I think I have discovered yet another super power! I know you’re very excited for me to yarn you the tale of this new power and the extraordinary ability of SuperCoach, and don't worry, I will! LOL. In the game that Getting Results plays in coaching elite advisors to become even more elite, we believe that everything counts and that you are always working, much like a professional athlete. With professional athletes, what they do off the field directly affects their game. In the realm of high performance (whether in athletics or business), slight edges can and do make an exponential difference, which means everything that you do or do not do matters.
I recently re-discovered that there is immense value in being in the presence of my clients on their home turf -- where they live, work, and play. To have eyes on them and to interact with them in their world and to see them in their natural environment, if you will. Not to brag, but I am very good at what I do, and most of you do not have someone like me in your world, but imagine if you did. A real life business sensei/SuperCoach! What’s fun and what makes me different is that I want the best for my clients and I want them to bring their design into existence. Most of the people we surround ourselves with have a vested interest in our outcomes. Nothing wrong with that, but their vested interest may not be in exact alignment with yours. Your design is unique to you. My job is to help you bring that very unique design into existence. My vested interest is that you are successful because the more successful you are at bringing your design into existence, the better off my company will be.
The benefit of being in the presence of one of my clients is now this business sensei has eyes on them. It’s rare to have a committed non-vested trained individual with eyes on us who also has the permission to coach us. With our clients, we develop a massive amount of likability and trust. Coaching cannot be unsolicited or it’s considered an annoyance and not embraced, but if you trust your coach, those slight edges I mentioned begin to compound upon themselves.
When I put eyes on a client, I also gain insights about where other advantages lie that the client may not necessarily be aware of because they are blind to the “everyday-ness” of their environment. A fun example: I visited a client and got a tour of his office, and he asked me, “SuperCoach, what do you think of my very professional office?”
I said, “It looks very professional… and it’s boring. Are you trying to put your clients to sleep here?”
Needless to say he was a little offended, or to state that in better language, I got him to think. He’d been going to the same office for 15 years. He no longer had fresh eyes for it. So I asked him, “How do you want your clients to feel when they come into your office?”
He said, “I want them to feel like they’re at home.”
“Well grasshopper, does this feel homey?” The answer was obviously no. It felt like an old school dentist office.
The result of having eyes on his business is that he is now actively rebuilding his office to reflect more of who he is and what he wants to bring into existence.
The deeper inquiry: Is all that you do in alignment with your design?
Imagine if you had someone walking the path of your design with you with eyes on! Imagine what the outcome would be. Also imagine trying to become a black belt in a martial art without a sensei? It just does not make sense, does it? Now imagine working to achieve a life and business by your design without a sensei? That doesn’t make sense either, does it?
Let us help guide you on the path of a life and business by design. Visit us at www.gettingresultsinc.com and we’ll put eyes on your efforts to help you achieve the results you want.

2 年Hadn't thought about it in "sensei" or "Super Coach" terms and I like the analogy. Easy to surround myself people who will tell me how great I am. We all have biases and blindspots. I need to have a sensei that is giving me honest appraisal of the path I'm on. Most dangerous space for me is when I feel safe and and comfortable. Nobody remembers safe.
