"Eyes on 94" Week Long DOT Blitz

Monday 12/07/15 will mark the first day of a week-long Commercial Vehicle Enforcement blitz on I-94 running through MI, OH, and IN. Officers are looking for drivers who do not follow the rules of the road; as we know, once you are pulled over your truck and logs are fair game.  Drivers be safe, follow the rules of the road, make sure your CMV is safe to operate, and stay on top of your hours of service!

"Michigan State Police (MSP) motor carrier officers will join officers from the Indiana State Police and Ohio Highway Patrol in focusing their enforcement on I-94 next week as part of the week-long ‘Eyes on 94’ commercial vehicle crash reduction effort.

During this multi-state initiative, officers will focus on violations by commercial vehicle drivers that are likely to contribute to a crash including speeding, following too closely, improper passing, distracted driving and improper lane use.  Motor carrier officers will also be stationed at rest areas to provide educational materials about safely sharing the road with trucks."
