Did you ever suffer from growing pains as a kid??

However, it’s not just kids that get growing pains - businesses do too.?

Every business has different phases of growth to go through. Each stage has its own purpose, strengths and challenges.?

And pains.?

MSP businesses are no different.?

Most business owners set out with big goals, big dreams and an idea of what their business will do for them. They set off on the right foot, experience some success… then they get stuck.?

They?plateau.?

What at first looked like exciting growth and a promising trajectory, soon becomes a life of firefighting, juggling curveballs and frustration as you struggle to push through to that next level.?

You find yourself overworked, putting in the hours but not reaping the rewards you hoped for. You’re working for your business when your business should be working?for you.?

But why does this happen??

It’s simple.?

There are four stages of growth that every MSP business must go through: Survive, Drive, Thrive and Arrive.?

But most get stuck. Never making it through to the top levels, instead caught in an endless cycle of working hard for little reward or if the reward is ok then they have no time to enjoy it properly.

The key is in having tangible, achievable and measurable goals that keep you focused and moving forward. It can be easy to get dragged into the day to day of the business, but if you want to keep progressing you’ve got to keep your eye on the prize and work towards it every day or at least every week.

The good news is that once you understand the?stages of growth, it becomes much easier to change this pattern.?
