An eye-opening visit to Sri Lanka

During the month of December, I travelled to Sri Lanka for my son’s wedding. During my visit, I had the absolute privilege to meet the children at the Hope for Children National Pre-school based in Colombo.?

Meeting one of the children

The National Preschool was established in 2003 and was set up to help provide early childhood education for children belonging to low income and under-privileged backgrounds.

Not only was it a pleasure to meet the inspirational children who attend the preschool, but it was also an absolute pleasure to meet the inspiring minds that work so hard to ensure that these children have a happy and healthy childhood, including the best education possible, despite the vulnerable circumstances the children face.

I have been working with Hope for Children for a few months now on our privilege trail walk charity fundraiser, and have been so inspired by their work…

But to see it in person and have the opportunity to meet the children that Hope for Children have supported and continue to do so, puts all of their hard work in to perspective even more.

Without public support and the power of funding from fundraisers like the Privilege trail walk, Hope for Children could not achieve the incredible results like the national pre-school, which helps vulnerable children get access to higher education.

I understand it is difficult with the current cost of living, but any change you can spare, please donate to our fundraiser HERE

Or if you would like to join us, read all about it HERE

Please do consider donating/joining to raise money for this incredible cause and help Hope for Children change more children’s lives for the better.
