#EYCONNECT DAY BSA - Minneapolis

The mission of Northern Star Council is to prepare young people to be leaders and individuals of strong character by helping them discover the principles of Scouting. EY’s purpose is to build a better working world. Today we got to help make things a little better at Fred C Andersen Scout Camp for some of our youth who will eventually be entering the working world! This is one of nine scout camps maintained by Northern Star Council and sits on the scenic banks of the St. Croix river a few miles before it merges with the Mississippi river. 

We had the opportunity to help with brush removal, erosion control, and painting so that the boys and girls who come through the camp during the next year have a great scouting experience. I am proud to work for a firm that invests time in the community - we have thousands of volunteers across the country at organizations in our local communities and hundreds right here in the twin cities and I am also proud to serve on the board for Northern Star Council which makes a positive impact in so many young people’s lives in our community and across the world. Additionally, we had a separate group volunteer at Rum River.
