Are The Extraterrestrials At It Again?

Are the extraterrestrials at it again?

My dad and brother witnessed (what appeared to be) an extraterrestrial cattle mutilation many years ago. It was a clear summer night in the mid-1980s. They were sitting in lawn chairs on the front yard of Mom and Dad's home in northeast Travis County, approximately 20 miles east of Austin. They were drinking ice tea and eating snacks?after a long day of milo harvest. Life was good and the harvest was abundant.

Suddenly, their herd of cattle on the adjoining farm began literally screaming. It was not normal bellowing. They were screaming at the top of their lungs in a manner that could only be associated with extreme fear, destress and pain.

The herd was located behind them, so when the screams began, they ran around the back side of the house to get a closer view.

From a distance, they saw the outline of a disk-like object, silently hovering about 100 feet over the herd with a huge light shining on the animals. The loudest screams seemed to be coming from one animal that was apparently being mutilated. The animals on the periphery of the light did not run away, as though they were frozen in place.

My dad and brother jumped in Dad's pickup and they rushed to the pasture, but before they reached it, the light and the object disappeared.

When they reached the herd, they discovered a mutilated heifer with tongue, eyes and reproductive organs removed with surgical precision. There was no blood. The blood had been drained. Most of the cows were continuing to scream and they were running in different directions, as though they were disoriented.

The local veterinarian was called to the scene the next day but obviously, the mystery was never solved.

Farmers and ranchers all over the country had been reporting these cattle mutilations long before this one, but I am unaware of anyone else who actually caught "them" or "it" in the act.

This cattle mutilation story was told to me in vivid detail by my father and my brother. Their story rushed back into my memory when I read the news stories about recent mutilations.

It is not my modus operandi to write stories that can't be verified. I find it more compelling (and accurate) to write about my personal experiences and then allow the reader to judge the value of my contribution.

This is a notable exception. It's a story that I believe in its totality and I will stand behind its accuracy.

My father and brother were sober and respected leaders in the community. The local veterinarian was highly respected and well known in the industry and their personal credibility elevates the story above and beyond reproach.
