Extra-ordinary!

That’s the goal. To be “extraordinary”. That #extra, more, additional, different from the rest. Better than others, a step ahead. Also, to do it all a little better, more than whatever is there today. It gives one the satisfaction, a reason, happiness, tells that one is growing, contributing to society, helping etc. etc. etc. To be more than the #Ordinary! But have we thought about why is being ordinary not Okay? Why is it like being nothing? A “nobody”. If this is the reason for all the growth, advancements, and progress: Isn’t it also the reason for competition, comparison, depression, and anxiety? And so, is this what we are looking for in life?
Let’s understand this process and the activities that take place when we go down this path. Yes! Go “Down” this path. Pursuing this path fundamentally means that one is creating or enhancing #identity. And identity in itself is not a bad thing. It is a real thing but only at the physical level. Because we are born as individuals. Physically different from the other. But at the consciousness level, there is no difference. It’s all one. That is why we have relationships; We strive to be together. Being one with and being that consciousness (call it what you may!) is Nirvana, Self-Realization, Moksha. Like it or not. Realize it or not…… That’s the pursuit!
I hope we can pay attention to the words #being and #self-realization. Because it is about being and not becoming. It’s a “Self” realization and not an ‘Out-of-body’ experience that will happen. And if we don’t like being #ordinary (identity) we need to be so ‘extra’-ordinary that there is no identity. One is spread so thin and extensive like the air in our atmosphere that you are everywhere. Like consciousness. Understand this (by your own exploration and pursuit) that physical identity is real, but mental identity is only one. And the pursuit is to be so ‘extra’ ordinary that mentally one dissolves into that universal consciousness.
