The extinction tapes- #bestradio ever!

You, please, must listen to Radio 4’s ‘The Extinction Tapes’ . They were aired at 13:45 GMT everyday last week.

We highly recommend it – just take 15 minutes of your day to be informed and inspired. 

In the first episode we learn about recent American history, commerce, racism and slavery – all through the subject of the recent extinction of the ‘The Alabama Pigtoe Mussel’. It had an amazing life-cycle. One that benefited its environment. 

Now, it is extinct – gone for ever from this beautiful planet.

Also, the primary, macro point was made loud and clear – we are all interlinked. All of our existences depend on other living organisms – from this minute mollusc to our human friends and family.
