Extended Reality - Closing skill gaps, Scaling expertise, and Attracting the next generation of workers!

Many industrial organisations have been dealing with talent and labour shortages as a result of senior technicians' retiring, a lack of new recruits, and inadequate methods for onboarding new hires and up-skilling current workers. This is an untenable and dangerous situation that is negatively affecting companies' ability to meet rising demand, improve margins,?and grow.

Examining these challenges, Extended Reality solutions can effectively and efficiently get new employees up to speed.

Experts from the Capgemini research institute obtained such results in their work on the applications of Extended Reality in the industrial sectors. They interviewed over 700 representatives from various industries, including behemoths like Boeing, Siemens, and Volkswagen.

The findings are impressive: 75% of organisations with large-scale Extended Reality implementations noticed more than 10% operational benefits.

We can reasonably assume from the bright future of Extended Reality solutions that these technologies have already gained widespread popularity in large industrial companies. Despite this, early adopters of VR and AR initiatives face a number of challenges. Among these are technological integration, data readiness, the inability to identify use cases, talent, and general awareness. However, this will not prevent VR and AR integration because the advantages and benefits are worth the effort, and the results exceed expectations.

Let's embrace change and prepare for the future!

Great article Rohit Pratap. Capgemini's finding that "75% of organizations with large-scale Extended Reality implementations noticed more than 10% operational benefits" is quite impressive and hopefully may move the needle on greater adoption rates.
